The overcast sky was ideal for sighting and noone needed dark goggles. With two races there were a lot of people to check in and the 2-milers got a bit of a late start following the open water clinic. One milers started 10 minutes later and all starts began in waist-deep water. Water temperature was 82 F. Chip timing gave quick and accurate results.
It was great to see team DAMA well represented. In the 2-mile: Colleen Cunningham, Rich Heany, Roland Klober and myself. And in the 1-mile: Dana Dubis, Dawn Franklin, Mary Anna Hovey, Rhiannon Kincaid, Nicole Popovich, and Tim Wilson. Some of us got together afterwards for breakfast while others went on a training ride or run.
